About Our Farm

Angelic Organics is a Biodynamic, Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) vegetable and herb farm serving over 1500 shareholders in the greater Chicago area.  We’re located in north-central Illinois, less than two hours northwest of downtown Chicago, and 30 minutes northeast of Rockford.  We began growing organically in 1990 and have operated as a CSA since 1993.

Our customers are known as shareholders. With a pre-season payment, you can purchase a share of our summer’s harvest in exchange for the joy of receiving a weekly 3/4 bushel box of fresh vegetables and herbs for 20 or 12 weeks during our growing season, which lasts from mid-June or mid-August through late October. This unique partnership ensures that our farm, farmer, and shareholders maintain a mutually supportive, ongoing relationship with one another, the land, the weather, the food we all eat, and beyond.

Organic Fruit Shares are also available to compliment your vegetable share. Note: Although everything in the vegetable share boxes is grown on the farm (including melons and watermelons), Angelic Organics does not grow any of the fruit in the fruit share, and most of it comes from non-local farms and orchards.
